It's the year 2000. Pop music is reigning on the charts. NSYNC, Backstreet, 98 Degrees, Britney, Christina, and countless others were selling out venues and selling lots of CD's. Riding the wave was a group of 5 energetic youth who not only could sing great, but also dance, do amazing gymnastics, and produced some of the most fun pop music ever heard. Jump5 came onto the scene and were an immediate smash hit. They were all over TV, Radio Disney, and even have a permanent place on the 'Beauty and the Beast' DVD with their video/cover of the title song. They stood out from the others though not only because of their amazing performances, but because of their message. Hopeful, encouraging, loads of fun, but they always spoke about their relationship with God and how important their faith meant to them. They've all grown into young adults going to college, getting married, etc. but listening to their songs will take you back to an innocent and fun time so get out the mirror ball, turn up the fun, and start dancin'. - Bryan

The first CD I ever bought of Nichole Nordeman's was Woven & Spun. I was struck by her honest lyrics and pure voice. One of my favorite songs from that album is "I Am." It's a gentle reminder that God is there through all of life's moments providing hope, healing, comfort, and forgiveness. Nichole's songs ask real questions and deal with real issues that we all face in life and along our faith journeys. When asked which of her songs means the most to her she responded, "I love 'River God' because it was such a simple song that really spoke to where I was at the time. Maybe that's because it was sort of my first baby from that first record, or because the song is about learning to be patient and content in the process of becoming who God wants me to be, but I always go back to that song and remind myself what it's like to be that little stone in a river. One that only becomes smooth after years and years of water rushing over it. Only then are the rough edges of our lives smoothed out." How can you not love an artist that is so genuine? - Mandy

She made her major label recording before she was old enough to drive. I remember the first time I met Rebecca. She was 16 and playing an outdoor music festival and her new album, “God” was just hitting the stores. I saw an intensely focused young woman with a clear mission to encourage the church, challenge young women to purity, and it was all wrapped up in amazing, relevant music with an amazing live performance. I knew then that Rebecca would have a long career in music. Her songs have become anthems of young people all over the world: “God”, “Pray”, “Song Of Hope”, “Wait For Me”, “Go And Sin No More”, and the list goes on. Rebecca is also an accomplished author of several best-selling books and has also acted in several films. She has and continues to break the mold for what a Christian artist can do not only by her innovative music and live shows but by being speaking in front of Congress for issues like abstinence and education. This ‘aussie’ is always on the move and I can’t wait to see what she does next! –

I have to admit that a few years ago I was not familiar with Aaron Neville or his music. The first time I remember hearing Aaron Neville's version of "Amazing Grace" was shortly after Hurricane Katrina hit the gulf coast. It was used by one of the news networks as background music to the images and video from the aftermath of the hurricane. Even though Aaron Neville recorded "Amazing Grace" long before Katrina, his voice pierced through the images with an honest reflection of the struggles the Gulf Coast was endurring. Since then I've become a fan of his Gospel recordings. With his distinctive sound, Aaron Neville's voice permeates your soul and brings you into worship with God. Whether your a Gospel fan or a casual listener, you need to have Aaron Neville in your music collection. - Mandy

The fact that PC&D have had such a long & successful career is truly a miracle story. First of all, they live in 3 different cities and states. That kind of makes it a challenge to rehearse! Secondly, they all have ‘regular gigs’ as music pastors at their respective churches. Thirdly, they all have families and yet manage touring, recording, and all the things about being an artist and still are serving faithfully each week in their church. Man, these guys are busy! Their songs have been radio staples for years: “Mercy Came Running”, “In Christ Alone”, “Crucified With Christ”, and the list goes on. In recent years, they turned their attention to recording today’s most popular praise & worship songs and their unique vocal sound brings new life to songs that could easily get old if we don’t hear them in new ways. 3 guys, 3 cities, 1 mission. PC&D are the real deal – working 2 full time jobs to change the world. - Bryan
Chrissy Conway, Alisa Girard, and Kristin Swinford may not be performing or recording together anymore, but their music still imacts teens across America. It's amazing to think that if it wasn't for a phone call this group may have never came together. Chrissy was ready to be the next Britney Spears, but God had other plans for her. A mutual friend had given Chrissy's number to Kristin and Alisa. Though they had never met, Kristin called Chrissy and asked her to join Alisa and herself in the new Christian pop group, ZOEgirl. Together this pop/rock trio has tackled teen issues like self-esteem, break-ups, depression, and faith. With songs inspired by their own lives and the lives of their fans, teens can identify with Chrissy, Alisa and Kristin. Despite their success, ZOEgirl has kept their focus on God. In an interview with Christian Music Today, Chrissy said "We as Christians need to step up the the plate and present an alternative for (teens) to listen to, something that is stylistically true to their needs, but gives them a message of hope and salvation that's hopefully going to encourage them." ZOEgirl's music has certainly done that. - Mandy
